NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Support Groups

NAMI support groups are peer-led and offer participants an opportunity to share their experiences and gain support from other attendees. Groups meet weekly, every other week or monthly, depending on location. Many support groups are virtual and attendance is open to everyone across the country.

UCLA Health Support Groups

UCLA Health and its community partners offer a number of support groups, available in-person and by telephone, designed to support and inform patients, families and caregivers coping with a variety of diagnoses, including Alzheimer’s and Dementia, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, Parkinsonian disorders and others.

Center for Chronic Illness (CCI) Support Groups

CCI offers support groups for anyone impacted by chronic illness and rare disease in addition to BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ support groups, Support for loved ones, Rare chronic illness support groups, and Health education programs.

 

All programs are free of cost and professionally-facilitated and may offer psycho-educational tools for coping, but are NOT psychotherapy or counseling groups and are not an exchange for individual psychotherapy.
